Triumph Over Fairfax

Senior Scott Petersen (8) and junior Jon Stevens (7) fight in the dust for the ball during the Herndon High School boys lacrosse team's win against Fairfax High School. The Hornets scored the first goal after just two minutes and then led Fairfax the rest of the evening. Sophomore attacker William Kelly scored the first three goals and one other in the first half and then one goal in the third quarter to lead the team with five goals. Petersen scored one goal in each half in support of the win and Jon Stevens, freshman Matt Stevens and sophomore Ben Mank each scored one in the second half to finish the 10-4 game.
