Council Should Bring People Together
To the editor:
The Herndon Town Council continues to divide our town by using much of its time on immigration issues. How about all the other issues that the council should be working on, such as dropping real estate values and improvements to our roads, sidewalks and other town infrastructure?
The continual focus on immigration just divides our town further and further. It also makes Herndon look like an unattractive town to prospective homeowners and businesses. Instead of continuing these divisions, the Town Council should be working on bringing people together and respecting each other as human beings. Separating Herndon residents into different classes of people can be no good for our town as a whole.
I look forward to supporting a new Town Council, one which will help to heal and bring a sense of community back to our wonderful town. Please join with me in voting for Harlon Reece for mayor, Richard Downer, Penny Halpern, Arthur Nachman, and Sheila Olem for Town Council.
