Winning is Everything
To the editor:
For the second consecutive time, voters in Herndon have elected public officials who will continue moving Herndon forward. The direction set forth two years ago was carefully planned, positive, and embraced the community.
Wth shared compassion, Herndon elected officials moved swiftly to better our town and continued to make huge gains in public trust. We are a safer community because our mayor and Town Council tackled the hard and difficult issue of illegal immigration. Dealing with the effects of illegal aliens in our community doesn't make you "mean spirited." as we have seen with our mayor and council.
While some feel things are better left unsaid, I must say that the fierce negative campaigning did little to change the outcome.
Philip Jones
